Another night is passing by in the Hawaiian Islands and I wish for nothing else than to sit back and relish the remaining few weeks with my parents. Sitting on the porch enjoying the occasional cool breeze and armed once more with my computer, I can hardly wrap my mind around the fact that summer is drawing to an end. Once back at college I’ll eagerly await the care packages (sometimes sent all at once and resulted in my staggering back to the dorm in the snow with three boxes) that my parents send. It’ll be a warm reminder of what awaits me at home after a challenging semester.
I’ve a ton of things I want to do before I go so I guess I better ‘get a going’ as my dad always says. Lets see.. We’ve talked about going fishing but haven’t been able to because of all the house repairs and painting. Hopefully we’ll be able to do this! We also recently got a japanese kamado so I want to make ribs and steak. I know i’ve been saying I’ve been shopping a lot, but i still believe there’s some shopping to be done!
Our second house is nearly done being painted, and it’s so pretty! I love green so my mom and I picked a light green for the trim. Picking paint worked out alright this time.. I always flinch when I remember the time I picked out the paint for our kitchen cabinets.. yeah, hot pink did NOT work well haha
